Chapter 0: Author's Introduction to You Can Call Me Daddy
You Can Call Me Daddy the story of a young woman named Miranda whose past includes childhood sexual experiences which others might judge in a way she would not. Through the help of her her therapist, Dr. Martin Green, Miranda begins to relive her younger days in an effort to discover what it is she really needs.
If you, the reader, are unwilling or unable to read about teen and preteen sexuality, incest, and other controversial and possibly troubling concepts, or you don't feel you wish to challenge some of your thoughts on these subjects, please read no further: You likely won't enjoy this story and there are thousands upon thousands of other stories out there which contain subject matter you'll enjoy much more.
Still here? Great! As the author of these stories, I want to reinforce to the reader that this is all fantasy. Many of the negative and otherwise damaging consequences of the acts herein are never encountered by the characters as they would be in reality. I generally enjoy reading, and writing, stories in which the participants struggle with conflicting emotions about the events within and then find ways to enjoy and grow strong from what they have experienced.
My standard note of caution: Don't mistake this for anyone's reality. In the real world, many of the events that follow would probably lead to physical and mental illnesses, unhealthy fixations and addictions, abuse, trauma, and/or prison time for participants. In this fantasy, however, events are allowed to progress without encountering those vastly more realistic outcomes and tragedies.
You Can Call Me Daddy is told from Miranda's point of view. It features scenes alternatively set in the present day and in her past as she retells those experiences. Miranda's sexual maturity started earlier than most, and she insists on an explicit retelling of the highlights while her therapist, Dr. Green, attempts to tease out what it is that Miranda really wants from their sessions.
There are essentially two acts to this story. The first act involves Miranda's sessions with Dr. Green and features her describing her sexual past. The second act is set more fully in the present day and shifts gears to feature different dominant themes than those in act one. The second act is more about how Miranda moves forward once the sessions have revealed the way forward.
A second note of caution: As an author, I've often written about younger girls with adults. However, I must admit that eight is below my general comfort zone. I know many of my readers don't understand that seemingly arbitrary point, but that's how I feel. I have a hard time placing girls below ten or twelve in sexual positions without feeling very guilty about it. And yet . . . That is where Miranda's story essentially begins. So, that is the story I must tell. Please, please, please: Never abuse children. Life does not work like my stories, and what Miranda experiences is not close to reality.
